Mould
Mould was a solo exhibition at Metro Arts, Brisbane in 2012.
Mould was based on a mock product of the same name which sought to rectify the "problem" of simplicity and rectilinearity in the modern built environment, incongruously through a simple modular system. The work aimed to question the relationship between simplicity and complexity through a unique construction formwork system, while also investigating the dual meaning of "mould" in relationship to notions of control. The mock product was a functional modular moulding Formply system able to be used as a concrete mould.
